Our Story

Barrels & Basket is a UK-based Nigerian grocery brand created to make it easier for Nigerians, and lovers of African food in the UK to access authentic foodstuffs, condiments, spices, dried seafood, cooking essentials, and selected traditional delicacies.

The idea behind the business came from a simple need; many Nigerian (African) families in the UK still want to cook the meals they grew up with, but it is not always easy to find trusted, quality, and authentic ingredients. Barrels & Basket was created to help bridge that gap by bringing familiar tastes, trusted ingredients, and the feeling of home closer to customers.

Our focus is to provide quality Nigeria groceries and carefully selected food items, with the aim of becoming a trusted household name for African foodstuffs and delicacies across the UK.
